what an eventful day.. im kinda tired and i hafta wake up at 7am 2ml so i'll try to make this a short n sweet post.. well basically today i had archery in the morning and went out with huixin, Jared n his frens to BAYBEATS '07 at Esplanade at night..

hmm archery was kinda sian and it was seriously hottt today la.. i only went cuz i tot wendy was going but she din come in the end -.- cuz she slept at 4 am last night and she din hear her alarm clock ring and she forgot to switch her hp silent mode off so all our calls to her were in vain.. haha.. ohwell. shooting started at 9.30 am (we started at 10 am actually cuz we took super long setting up our bows) but wendy only woke up past 11 am! haha. so like me last week lah.. she was lik super apologetic when she finally woke up (she even sounded abit tearful) but i found it all quite amusing.. hmm we're having team bbq soon =) can't wait for authentic archery-team bbq food! always e best! XD dear ure coming along k? you must hor, it's on a weekend. yep so aniwae.. today i was damn slack.. and anyhow shoot also.. nv anchor then release alr.. nv align string.. aiyoh.. horrible lah. altho i got a few yellows but i aint proud of any of them. =( sigh. now feel lik i haf no right to coach my jnrs alr.. not when they've seen how low my std has dropped.. haha.. sheesh. i was wearing my ratty old noobie armguard today which has nv been washed and i started getting a rash almost immediately o_O then Mr Tang was there today.. wth.. he was lik being so overbearing lah! he commented on my armguard n said it was a hunter's armguard n actually those shooting target archery shldnt be using it. then i was lik.. ok.. then he asked me if i was wearing it cuz i was scared of getting hit by the string.. and i answered "yes" w/o thinking. then he went on a whole lecture on how if that's e case then i can't shoot cuz my mind is blocked n whatnot.. i was lik rolling my eyes at that point alr lah.. i mean i dont particularly wear this armguard cuz of my MIND-BLOCKING PHOBIA of getting hit by the string! i wear it cuz it's e FIRST armguard that i ever bought n it juz so happens that i nv got round to buying an advanced armguard.. trust me i wld have had lo, it looks so much cooler. -.- geez. and it was sold to me as a newbie armguard, not as a hunting armguard.. gawd.. not lik im the only person who uses it.. yeah so after lecturing me, he went on to lecture other shooters.. such an annoying, overbearing old man! arghh! YL and i were shooting him dirty looks. okay i guess i shldnt get too explicit here lest it affects NJ's r/s with him but i mean, im not even part of the archery society anymore so i dun think it matters what opinion i have of him. and for the record, after taking the armguard off and borrowing YL's advanced armguard, i did get hit by the string at least twice. and i still carried on shooting. so how's that for mental block?

alright enuf bout old men. guess what? im having lots of rashes right now and it's prob cuz i din bathe for the past 3 days..lol.. guess ppl reading my blog now wld be thinking im such a disgusting person. well who cares. so before going for baybeats, i had a nice bath and even did a detox facial mask XD and that's why i was LATE in meeting Jared..lol.. was supposed to meet him 5pm at city hall. in the end i reached there onli past 6 and still had to wait for huixin to cab down.. lol.. Jared ended up going ahead first and huixin and i had a gorgeous dinner at TCC =D gonna bring dear there someday! yums! she treated haha as payment for my help in tutoring her student the past 2 days ^^ shall expound on that later. k so i found nearly the perfect pair of silver ballerina flats at Prettyfit at Citylink mall =))) nearly perfect.. ohwell. my search goes on. ok aniwae.. we went to esplanade and man was it PACKED! so many ppl there lah! there was NDP going on and then there was BAYBEATS at 3 diff locations i think. had a ton of hassle trying to locate Jared & Co. in the huge crowd of ppl.. tried lots of hand-waving n shouting over the phone. in the end we located him by spotting the 2 "jumping freaks" in the crowd lol. he looked damn funny la. so we waded through to meet him n we had a round of introductions.. he was being annoying as usual =.= his friends looked cool tho, esp Nicole who had this swirly line drawn near her right eye and was dressed in black frm head to toe.. very feminine punk-goth. they were real friendly too. Jared was telling us what to do if we din wanna get smushed in the mosh pit. i din really take him seriously cuz i tot the moshpit was further front. Nicole started complaining bout the guys actually voluntarily entering the fight in the mosh pit.. right after she said that, i saw Jared fall back and shove into the guys on either side of him.. and THEN it became TOTAL PANDEMONIUM. omgg! suddenly ppl started moshing out of the blue and huixin and i were lik caught right in the middle of it lah! we were elbowed and flung crazily from person to person, almost getting torn apart and/or trampled by the masses. i almost lost my bag, almost lost my shoes, and my chest got so elbowed it actually feels more concave right now.. my hair was all over my face and i was frantically trying to stay upright.. it was total chaos and confusion.. however much i type here really can't reflect the shock and the desperation i felt at that point; i'm just really surprised that huixin and i managed to scramble out of that hellhole.. gosh.. first and last time moshing man.. unless i wear full-body battle armour =.= really dun see how shoving ppl mindlessly can be fun. the band on stage was lik playin really violent music and ppl were getting carried ard n thrown ard and u cld see shoes n bottles flying... man... what a sight. the energy was there la.. but.. think too much energy.. haha.. so huixin and i stood at the safety of the sidelines n took pictures. lots of ppl smokin there too. the singer was singing off-tune la =.= sian. aniwae when we left that place we saw some ppl bein treated for injuries at the sidelines.. i guess it's inevitable in such a chaotic situation that some ppl to get injured. so sad. but then again, they knew the risks.

yep so we walked ard.. took more pics.. night scenery at Esplanade is really good =) shall post some pics if i haf e time. the whole place was swarming with ppl la.. think we looked quite outta place actually, cuz most of the ppl were dressed lik punks.. i definitely did not dress to get thrown ard in a mosh pit -.- went towards the NDP floating platform but found yet another stage before that. the band playing was quite good, had good melodies n guitar riffs =) the volume was damn loud tho. they had a female guitarist, w00t! haha we had cotton candy too =D

we finally left ard 9 plus and took 75 to bukit panjang plaza.. had drinks at starbucks and chilled out. i dun like ppl staring at me =( esp if it's grps of guys. hate seeing grps of guys with all the same hairstyle.. lameshit. whatever happened to individuality? blehx...

k lah enuf bout today. on wed and thurs i helped huixin give chem tuition to this Indo student Steven, for his poly entrance exam which was on fri (so rushed la!). the chem was 'O'-level std but only a few topics were tested.. and only a few qns of the sci paper were chem qns.. like 7-8 qns? pathetic. anyway it was quite a challenge teaching him cuz of the lang barrier; his eng wasn't v fluent. so had to try my best to simplify my explanations.. juz hope that he managed to grasp some of it. did my best in teaching this student.. marked out mcq qns for him to try n all. on wed we went late so only stayed for lik.. 1.5 hrs.. i was quite apprehensive at first too but he's really a nice and considerate (altho abit shy) guy. then on thurs it was total chem-crunching time so i stayed from 5.30 all the way to 9.. damn shag la.. my brain gonna melt into pulp alr, he still going strong. pei fu pei fu. i realise i quite like teaching but im quite a difficult teacher to deal with. lik on wed after Steven i went with huixin to her other class, this large class of lower sec Indo students. wah crazy la they. i think if i were her i wldve exploded long time ago, cuz im v particular about my students'/subordinates' behavior. but she managed to joke ard with them while making them do work.. so i guess her method's more effective. i tink i'd use the scare method most prob.. lik scare my students into doing their work.. but think it isnt v good la. im quite demanding and picky.. yeah.. guess ive alot to learn.

oh i realised how rusty my brain is. lik seriously seriously rusty. juz tryin to revise sec4 stuff i get headache alr, and nth goes in =( damn. red-flag for start of Uni! but after awhile i got warmed up again so not too bad =)

kk last bit for this super-long post.. ive been bidding for my modules lately and i got every single one of them, tho the round for bidding for general edu/sg studies/breadth modules hasnt started yet. so assuming i get the module that im gonna bid for, this will be my syllabus for Semester 1:

CM1101 - Principles of Modern Chemistry
CM1111 - Introduction to Inorganic Chemistry
MA1421 - Applied Math for Science
SP1202 - Communicating with the Academy
GEK1543 - Chemistry of the Oceans <-- (so cool right! i hope i get this module! XD)

yeah if i get every single module n tutorial and lab session i want, my schedule will be quite interesting.. haha.. see how things go =) but no free days la, that's for sure =( and on fri i have 2 consecutive lab periods of 3 hours each! OMG! /_\ haiix

dear.. u shldve been back from ure field camp by now right.. im wondering why u havnt contacted me yet.. missing u doesn't hurt so much now but i still miss you alot.. it's one more week till ure back in my arms and i just can't wait =) come back soon my dear! i looovee you..
